Q1) If you could design a student-centered community college what courses,

academic support and student services would you offer, how would you

design it? 

Q2) How does your family narrative / cultural ethnicity fit into the

    classroom and academia?

Q3) How do grades increase pressure on you as a student and in some 

    cases, create negative attitudes toward school and classes?

Q4) What could teachers do in weeks 1-3 to establish authentic 

    relationships / learning partnerships with you as a student, with

    students of color, and for first generation college students,

    especially in an online classroom?

Q5) What are some societal pressures students of color face that

    prevents them from focusing on schoolwork, study time and/or access to

    campus resources and toward academic and personal success?

Q6) What don’t teachers know or acknowledge about students at the beginning of courses with 

    regards to 'Students of Color’ potentially dropping the class, i.e. anxieties, bias or 

    confidence toward academic potential/abilities?
